I can’t find the option to create an api token for start using the nextGenAPI in my xentral instance (Version 24.20.1), I’m an admin user, tried to followup the documentation, but I don’t see any developer options
I tried to check the app store and when I tried to enable API Accounts I got this error

An error occurred while sending the request: Fehler: das Modul ist bereits in Ihrer Version vorhanden

For NextGen you should use this : https://help.xentral.com/hc/en-us/articles/6575192352796-Creating-personal-access-tokens

I did follow the mentioned link but the account settings doesn't show me any developers options

You are logged in as admin?
Than it should looks like this:

This is what I have, I’m logging with an admin account.

Than you only have the starter package. API is available in business and pro plans.

@Daniel Schmidtchen Thanks for your answer,
Actually, we have already an integration to Xentral using the legacy / rest api, and now we are planning to move away from using those API into nextGen, however, I’m not sure which plan our clients are using, since the legacy and rest api are available (as far as I see) in all plans, since it’s available for the same instance.

  • Is there any way to keep supporting instances from the starter plan with an API access, or we need to ask every one of them to migrate to a higher plan?
  • I’m wondering what’s the reason of allowing start instance to use the legacy / rest api but not the nextGen.

Thanks a lot for your answer.
